Understanding Your Money

Learn the basics of income, expenses, budgeting, saving, and spending. Youth will develop a better understanding of where their money goes and how everyday financial decisions can affect their future.

Budgeting & Smart Spending

Credit, Debt & Financial Safety

Learn how credit works, how debt can impact your future, and how to avoid common financial mistakes. Youth will also learn about scams, online financial safety, and protecting their personal and financial information.

Saving & Building Your Future

Discover why saving early matters and how small amounts can grow over time. Youth will explore emergency savings, financial goals, and simple strategies for building a strong financial foundation.

Financial Literacy for Youth

How It Works

A 6-week program delivered once a week for 2 hours in schools, community centers, youth organizations, or other accessible community spaces. Online participation can also be offered when needed.

Building Financial Confidence

By the end of the program, youth will have practical tools and greater confidence to budget, save, spend wisely, protect their money, and plan for their financial future.

Hands-On Learning

Youth don't just listen, they participate. Through financial games, real-life scenarios, budgeting challenges, group activities, quizzes, and discussions, participants practice applying financial skills to situations they may face in everyday life.

Who Is It For?

Youth ages 15–19, including high-school students and young people preparing for employment, post-secondary education, or independent living.

Connecting With Youth

Participants are reached through schools, teachers, counsellors, youth organizations, community partners, social media, and community outreach. Registration is available through an online form or QR code.
